Her son, who was in the cult too and was a rising star, said somethign to a local paper. He ended up getting the ban. She wouldn't disassociate so she got the ban.
I took it that she is still a believer but left the "church" because of their actions. That was a common theme amongst a lot of those interviews. The people didn't say they don't beleive in the teachings, they just couldn't be a part of a group that did the things they did anymore. Except for that one guy who was all WTF? this is crazy and walked away from them.

I don't think that's the same lady
The level 8 chick was older and had grey hair I think while the one with the son was blonde and younger
