Well I'll go ahead and be 'that guy'.

[thatguy]My father was actually discharged from the Navy Reserve so that the Army could draft him into the Korean war. He never recognized any Veterans Day outside of November 11th, which he still called Armistice Day, and never was thanked for his service.

Nobody has forgotten Vietnam, but the Korean war is known as the Forgotten war. The thing is men of his generation just shrugged it off and kept going. There's something about the Baby Boomers that doesn't let them do that.
