Do you really think a reputable dealer will refuse your warranty work because you bought someplace else?
A dealer wouldn't refuse your warranty work because that would be passing up money. I'm just saying that the dealer is less likely to help you out (i.e. loaner vehicle, goodwill repairs) than their "sold" customers

I think its BS when a dealer tries to "scare" you into buying from them becasue of that. When I moved out here I tried to form a local relationship with one of the places here and keep my long standing one in nola for my location there. The sales guy tried that line with me and I didnt buy from him because of that. I dont like that. There is a warranty on the truck...you cover it regardless. I never...NEVER got any special treatment from a service dept on any car or truck that was even the slightest bit over. They tell me sorry ford wont pay us so you have to pay. Mater of fact this same local dealership that I tried to settle in at went for a joy ride in my personal car (supercharged mustang). I dropped it off to get some warranty work done before it ran out...was like 50 miles under when I dropped it off. I know for a fact...becasue I wanted to get the work done BEFORE. When I picked it up it was 200 miles OVER. They even had the before millage on the paperwork from when I dropped of the car. Told me BS like ohh they just guess at the millage...they dont always put down exactly what it was. And the same dealer tried to tell me a truck needed a new motor 7k for a ticking sound it was making. Turned out it was one spark plug that was cross threaded releasing gas (short version). Like I said too many lies and issues with too many dealerships for me to be warm and fuzzy with them. Sorry coach you seem much nicer than the ones I have had to deal with....
