As a former college player i understand the bat flip. He's celebrating and also trying to get his team pumped up. However if he does it at an unnecessary time like when we have a big lead, as a former catcher i would expect him to catch one in the ribs.

The more he does it the more likely it'll be that hell piss someone off. I'm still for it in the past two situations though

I'm not sure what you're trying to say by telling everyone you were a college catcher. It must have some small JUCO or something because pitchers don't retaliate at this level. In MLB he would get 96mph in the middle of the back his next time up. Problem is this isn't MLB.
