I would explain my situation to the people responsible for booking her trip and tell them to book you one and pay them for it. Only way possible that I can think of in order to get connecting seats. I see no reason why they could not accommodate this.

That's what I said. Now, she's thinking about wanting to drive it and see a bunch of sites along the way. What is there to see other than Memphis and St. Louis?
