The parent who complained was a douche as well, but the entire situation was avoidable with a little due diligence.

Getting a letter isn't difficult. I got them as a freshman, I got them as a senior. In fact, I never even altered my jacket after I got it, everyone in school knew what I did. Why is it different there? The school is being a dick, it's not the fricking medal of honor.
