I just thought the way the guy worded it sounded so final. Byrd was never really 100% percent last off season and never really had time to develop a rapport with anyone on the field. Then when he did play.. well.. it was weird watching him play way back there in coverage.. like 40 or 50 yards back.

A healthy Byrd on the field will make a difference. He's a good player who caused a lot of turnovers in Buffalo. Just so happens he wasn't all that healthy last year but that doesn't make the signing a mistake by any means. Maybe the amount was pretty steep but if he can come back to form it will be worth it and Barnwell's take will be total hogwash.
