Not as bad as panama, though

Maybe...not getting in a peter measuring contest because both can be bad. I have been on a 64 Viking scared to death heading in to Destin pass. Heavy outgoing tide with a 25 mph wind out of the south results in a high pucker factor.

I don't have experience with PCB pass.

No desire to measure either, just trying to give the OP confidence. It happens, but not a common thing in Destin.

Yea I thought the destin condition, much like any tidal pass, would be worse with an incoming tide and a north wind, or outgoing on a south wind.

When tide and wind disagree here in La it can make even routine bayou mouth passages interesting at times.
