So what about the guys that played college basketball from the 1940s-2000? How did those guys find a way to attend class? How did those guys find a way to pass Biology? Until the turn of the century, you had 99% of college players that stayed at least through their junior years.

What happened? And why is the NBA so stupid to draft "projects" who usually don't pan out until they are with their second team anyway?

Athletes do go to class. For the most part, their attendance is checked by the coach.

I'm sure the same way they do these days... Though the top 10% of college basketball players probably don't take very many biology classes...

You still have that number or close to it. But like i said, I agree that it sucks that they are leaving early, but just look around college campuses. I'd safely bet that non-athletes leave college more often and earlier than athletes.

Obviously the NBA is a very money driven sport. NBA executives have decided they can train players on their bench better than colleges can. With the lower wages they pay rookies, it makes sense to take some chances.
