When Demps came in the first thing he did was replace the previous head trainer. IIRC that guy left after 2 years and he was replaced with John Ishop. Ishop left for Detroit this season and was replaced by long time Saints trainer Duane Brooks

Just a thought- but is that much turnover at head trainer common in the NBA, or is it just a coincidence? Could the turnover at head trainer (4 in ~5 years) have any correlation with our rash of injuries? Maybe a lack of resources (funding, equipment, technology, etc) the reason we can't keep a trainer, or keep our players healthy?

I believe I was mistaken. It looks like Ishop was the guy that took over, his bio said he was the head trainer for 4 years LINK Maybe it was another position like a team doctor or something, but I remember Demps comes in, head guy leaves, they promote from within, and then about a year later that guy leaves. It actually got more play on this board than something like that otherwise would have because the guy's daughter did something at games, announcing, singing or something like that. Anyone remember who I'm talking about?
