Angola in Louisiana is pretty famous for being a rough prison, but I've heard it has gotten way better in the last ten years. The warden seems to be a good dude. He started a hospice program where the younger inmates tend to the dying ones. There is a pretty powerful documentary about it.

He's about to run for Governer but he won't win. His brother was my Senator for years. He helped a lot of people.
