I'm serious about my donuts too, and I agree that Tiger Deaux Nuts isn't very good. The owner is super-nice and I want to support the guy, but there's no excuse for cold donuts at 9am. I'm not sure if he has assembled a staff at the new location, but when he was on Jones Creek he worked by himself, and despite the creativity of his creations, the quality suffered because he was doing it alone. Some of the topping choices didn't work, either -- wet toppings led to soggy donuts. Hopefully he's improved since the move, but from the op's review, it doesn't sound like it.

I was never a KK fan until I went to the one on a Plank and got a dozen straight off the conveyor belt. Those things literally melt in your mouth. There's a HUGE difference between the pre-boxed ones and ones straight off the line.

My vote for worst in the area are the donuts at Mr. Ronnies. Those things are like bricks.

The new Pelican Donuts on the corner of Antioch and Tiger Bend are good, but their selection is small.
