You ALWAYS have to chime in when me or LEE posts. Why do you have a chip on your shoulder? It's just a message board.

"Sake of humanity"

You are clearly lacking in the intelligence department.

I am not bothered. People are murdered all the country every day.

Typical answer when a person can't articulate a point.

Until it happens to you or someone you care about.

What a terrible attitude to have.

Personal attack on a person. Another prime example of a person that can't articulate a point or doesn't even have one.

Perhaps ... but the government has had no problems sacrificing members of my family for whatever reason they thought was worth fighting for. I don't apologize for a hand full of poor innocents sitting on death row.

Does that matter? It matters not because I am under the government either way.

It matters because a true Christian wouldn't be okay with the execution of innocent men.

I hate to break up this cat fight, but has there been any new info put out since yesterday when they said they didn't suspect foul play?

Ok you can continue the cat fight now.

I'm not but the government decides guilt or innocence. I'm for the government following through with their plan. Their laws and due process may not be perfect, men by nature are not perfect, but it is the best we have. The process is for the good of humanity. Therefore I must be in support of the government or actively work to change it.

Religious discussions have no place in this thread so I choose to go no deeper into it but let's just say I have my reasons.

At least there's recourse with life in prison. You imprisoned an innocent man? Fine. At least you can let him go and cut him check. You've fricked up and ruined his life, but at least you didn't take his life.

I just can't endorse the death penalty when innocent people are killed. And I don't otherwise care if murderers are killed.

Where do y'all get this? The government doesn't convict people or sentence them to death.

Google "fry all of them and let God sort it out". We lose good men in battles that the government decided should be fought. Sacrificing a few innocent people on death row for the sake of humanity bothers me not.

I don't think you know how the courts work. Seldom does the government decide innocence or guilt in capital cases. Most often that task is left to the people.

But I'm like the other guy that posted above you. Has there been any additional facts released that are relevant to the dead man in this particular case?

I respect that sir ... so I'll tell you my thoughts. I was drafted and in my 3rd day in basic training they were teaching me how to kill people, a very rude awakening for me. I had to think about this. I had to decide if I could kill someone, presumably innocent other than to have been born in another country, for a cause I wasn't sure I understood. From the following night on my decision has had profound effect on my life and decisions.

If I can kill someone under those circumstances, for the greater good or some bullshite, I have no problems with a hand full of innocents getting the ultimate screw for that greater good.

Are you actively trying to abolish the death penalty?
