The coding is a little different which is why they charge you a a couple bucks to upgrade some of those Wii VC titles to WiiU.
You can still use any purchased Wii VC game if you do the system transfer. You just have to play it in Wii mode.

You mean if you DON'T do the system transfer? And I didn't know they charged you for that. Who's gonna pay just to avoid an extra menu for 2 seconds?
