Well thats the thing. They haven't been releasing classic titles like they were last generation. Wii has way more Virtual Console titles than Wii U. While there have been HD remakes on the 3DS, there has not been a shitload of S/NES ports like there were for GBA. A lot is unavailable on their dedicated consoles, like they're saving it for something.

The coding is a little different which is why they charge you a a couple bucks to upgrade some of those Wii VC titles to WiiU.
You can still use any purchased Wii VC game if you do the system transfer. You just have to play it in Wii mode.
