I'm scoping out a new lake to bass fish and have wondered which side of a lake that usually produces more fish (catching them wise):

The lake over a 1,000 acres (not huge), plenty of grassy areas & lily pads on both sides and "appears" to have plenty of drop areas throughout.

What is your opinion on which side is usually best?

West side is the best side.

Without knowing too much about the lake shape/depth conturs ... I would just start working flats that are close to deeper water...and work the areas/banks that are wind blown.

You need to invite the OB Elite for a better answer.

I would say the south side in the morning with a buzz bait across the lily's.

It's all about water temperature right now. Fish will be in 55-60 degree water. So fish the bank that's has that water temp.

The side closest to the creek, and then the dam.

Just so I am clear, you are asking us which side of a body of water to fish based upon no information?

Edit: I vote for the right side.
