I don't see why they don't just let college athletes profit from endorsements if they're able.
The really good players would make money, and you wouldn't have to play the diving team athletes based off the football teams success.

This is where I stand (kinda) Schools use sports like swimming/diving and Title 9 as an excuse not to pay football and basketball players by saying these sports fund their entire athletic departments.
