This is not a second guess. It is not playing percentages. Sacrificing the runner to third is the ONLY play in that situation. You are not looking for the big inning. You only need one run.

Fraley has actually looked like dog shite bunting this year. PM may have thought he had a better chance pulling a ground ball to the right side.

Maybe Fraley is an inconsistent bunter in practice and his spray chart indicated a high probability of hitting something to the rt side that would either advance runner to 3b or drive him in
