I can't believe we haven't given Crabtree a call yet. He would be fantastic in this offense.

We can't afford Crabtree or any other decent FA WR. There's a good chance that you could draft a WR that outperforms the FA's and he would be cheaper. That's our best option.

FWIW, Crabtree runs slower than Colston and there is a reason he has been cut and has no interest. I would be okay with a signing if he could be a big possession receiver.

There are still holes at WR and TE and who knows how the Saints will address that in the draft. Was it in 2006 when the Saints had glaring holes on defense and added key starters late in the offseason like Hollis Thomas, Mark Simoneau and Scott Fujita?
