I disagree. If you are underpaid by your employer, watch your coworkers get fired, work through injury, and see other employees at a different company make more money than you while putting up similar numbers, you wouldn't ask your employer for a raise or some type of security? All the while, other companies would jump at the opportunity to have you?

I don't care if it's football and he's made millions

They would if they could, but this is what happens when you sign a contract and are locked in. Both sides took risks when this contract was signed. If a guy gets hurt, should a team be able to take back guaranteed money? No. If a guy does really well are they obligated to give more guaranteed money? No. It goes both ways.

Well, it's pretty relative. You can't really compare a NFL career to the average 9-5 office worker for many reasons.

"I have a family to feed ... If Tom Benson and Mickey Loomis wants to see my family fed, he better cough up some money. Otherwise, you're going to see these kids in one of those Sally Struthers commercials soon."

Sure it's fair to ask your employer. But, that's not what he did. He cried about it on social media. Regardless, I hope he gets what he wants and plays with the same fire as he has been doing for the last 2 years.
