When we put a pool in about years ago I got some clumping bamboo. They were fairly large already (probably about 12 feet tall) and split them in half.
They are now well over 25 feet tall. If memory serves we got them at that nursery off of airline hwy behind the mazda place

Winner. Clump bamboo is the ticket buddy. 3 gal in forest hill for 7 bucks a peace. Not evasive and will give u that height in a few years.
