Damn thing pops wheelies
I use to do that in my scag also.
I have noticed one thing with scag, and I'm sure other brands of done this as well, but it seems as though the steel frames they use now are much more thin, and not as heavy duty as they were when we got ours back in '06.

As with many other companies these days... Always trying to cut a dollar here and there

Yep.
My bad boy weighs more than a new skag.
Makes no sense.

Think I'm going with a gravely.
Good reviews and best bang for your buck.
52" commercial with the kohler is 6200$

...but the kohoer is the worst motor of the 3.
The kawi is the strongest. The Briggs is better on fuel and doesn't require plugs all the time.
That kohler is just a weak motor in a commercial mower.
I run the bad boy, my cousin runs the skag, and my uncle runs the gravely. Out of the 3, skag hands down can cut the most in a day. But the bad boy is literally half the price. The gravely has the best ride and is a great build. That motor is just..

Actually the commercial one has a 23hp Briggs and Stratton.
The residential 52 has a kohler and it's 5600$

Old man has Gravely 52 HD with a Kawasaki. Good machine. We run all Kubotas at the rec. park I manage (except for the Toro turf mower). The new Kubota line (the one meant to compete with SCAG, Exmark, etc.) is running Kohler engines, and I was leery at first, but the dealer who I've delt with for years assured me Kohler had straightened all their issues out. For Kubota to trust them, I figured why not. Purchased one over a year ago, and that Kohler has surprised me. No issues thus far, and that's running it in a commercial setting. My two cents.
