Has absolutely nothing to do with that. Could have easily transferred into a T30 school. Do you even know the metrics they use for the rankings? 40% of the calculation is based on "reputation," which is completely subjective. You mean to tell me some partner out in California can truly rank 300 law schools?
It's a gigantic money grab. They had to do something after their original magazine was a failure
And I completely forgot, I think it was Ucincy that pumped a ton of money into areas US news uses as their metrics, and Ucincy went up like 50 spots within a year.

A lot of schools have done this. USNWR does huge swings too, both ways. UNC plummeted a few years ago.
Here are ATL's rankings. I'm not sure I agree fully with the methodology, but to me and other lawyers I know, it produces the most "natural" results (meaning it is similar to the list you'd get if you asked lawyers knowledgeable about law schools from around the country to give you a list).
