re: Has anyone ever dealt with nerve damage before?

When they had to break open my ribs to remove part of my lung, they had to sever nerves. I can't feel a good foot by 5 inch section on my left side.

Every now and then, a synapse will get through and it will just be hilarious amounts of pain and it'll vanish after about 3 minutes.

I used to be insanely overprotective of that side, but now I will just politely tell people not to touch me in that area. I don't understand why people want to run their fingers over a scar, but it's just so uncomfortable to not be able to feel anything but the pressure.
