1. How to get tickets? Day of game from some dude peddling on the street (I have gotten great tickets to games and concets like that, not knocking it) or a better way.

I buy my tickets this way often even for big games. Rarely paid more than face value and often less. Only game I have seen in quite some time that there were no tickets available on the street was the Bama game last season.

Ticket hawks hang around Mike the Tiger's home on the north end of Tiger Stadium. Make sure you have a copy of the stadium seating so you know what they are peddling.

2. Should I "move" to Baton Rouge the night before the game or is it driveable?

It is drivable but you need a plan - mainly for parking. You will need to be at LSU ready to park at least 4 hrs before kickoff and sooner than that is better if game is a biggie. Consult locals you will be working with for specifics on parking - too big a subject to cover here.

I am so sorry! explains the BigTen guy thing!!!

almost forgot... no matter what others tell you get your arse to your seat about 30 min before KO. The last 15 min countdown to KO is reveled in the CFB world as on of the best pregames to get you in the mood for some rockem sockem football!

I buy my tickets off dandy don site. I call way ahead of time and get a room but I always ask if hotel has shuttle bus running to games , the Hilton does so that's where I stay .
