Exactly. We can get these guys in other drafts. How often can you get an elite playmaker though? Not saying Cooks is this, but the organization saw him as such and decided getting an elite player is better than a very good one. I completely agree with them on this concept. I also believe he will be that elite player.

Well said, I agree entirely. I hate the common opinion that last year that, being a deep draft at WR, we should have taken one at a later round. Yes it was a deep draft, but who's to say anyone after Cooks even registered as a blip on the Saints' radar. At some point you have to trust your scouts over the opinions of 3rd party draft "experts". It's clear they had and still have a high opinion of Cooks and his abilities.
