Raised. Bump irregular in shape. Looks growth-esque and who knows how long it's been there just noticed it today. About the size of a dime. He's 2.5 year old boxer. Wondering if a vet visit is needed off seeing just a simple picture.

Had two friends this week have their dogs undergo surgery for cancer so go figure I'd find this today

I treat cancers in canines, and early detection is the only way to get the best response to treatment. So, take him to the Vet soon (although, it is not something that needs to be done ASAP. This weekend or next week, or even the next should be fine, but sooner rather than later).

Other than that, it is pretty hard to determine anything from a picture. Could be amelanotic melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, histiocytic... or just a benign bump. A biopsy is the only way to tell.

Until then, do some research or just wait to see the Vet.

Top Ten Boxer Bumps.

Boxers Grow Lumps and Cancer Better Than Any Other Breed of Dog. But if you live with a Boxer, you probably already know this!
