I think LSU could win that game.

The problem with this team is that they also "could" lose to just about any team. The teams that typically make runs in the NCAA tournament are the ones that have developed an identity, are playing with some level of consistency, and have a key player who can win a game in the final minutes.

I'm over the UT loss so this isn't a team bashing post. You used the word "could" and it basically sums up our season. After 30+ games, it would be nice to look at a bracket and say that we "should" beat ??? team. If we do make the tournament, lower your expectations so that anything beyond a one-and-done would be a success.

My hope for next year is that the team finds a leader. I'm also hoping that Simmons or Blakeney proves to be that consistent "go to" player that can take over a game in the final few minutes. Possibly Newman if he jumps on board.

We have all of this when we play big name teams, just not the inferior opponents. If this team makes the dance I think they'll play very well.

Last night was the most textbook LSU basketball outcome I've ever seen... All we need is one win to lock up the dance and we didn't even show up at home against a team we wiped the floor with a few weeks ago. Once again completely kicked in the nuts after getting my hopes up. While we probably will make the NCAA tourney, I just can't believe or feel certain that we will considering everytime I put my emotion into LSU hoops to get over the hump, I'm always let down.
