I usually park near Flying Saucer, grab a pint or two and then walk to 6 or so blocks to MMP. Parking in East Downtown will be a tad bit closer but tough to come by since it's a lot more compact and a lot less commercial than downtown. You have plenty of pub choices with either choice. There are usually pedicabs too so you could take those if you're more than a few blocks from the stadium
