What happened to just coming home with a field trip permission slip to sign and writing a check for the cost of trip?

That's what we do for our school. Those must be private school problems. I knew being poor had it's perks!!!!

This isn't only for field trips, you have to do all of that to participate in any activity on school property.

ETA: my parents had to do it for grand parents day
