Yeah. This year I believe that the winner was placed into a play-in game w/the CAF CL winner (could have been AFC), then lost to Real Madrid in Real Madrid's first game.
Can't remember if that's constant, but the CCL team plays at least one more game before playing against the UEFA or CONMEBOL representative

Yeah and then Cruz Azul lost to the champion of New Zealand in the third place game.
