Both of these kids were starters. One is going to Brother Martin next year (where his Dad played football.) The other, the QB, is headed to Ben Franklin.

I live on the northshore. Not sure how it is around the rest of the state, but it has absolutely exploded over here in the last 3 or 4 years. I live near St. Paul's and they must have over 100 kids in their program. It seems like they host tournaments every weekend.

St. Paul's is the only team I'm familiar with. Here is their schedule for this year to give you an idea of how many teams are around the area: LINK

There's around 15 teams in the state. Started in shreveport and grew from there. I played on the first team at Byrd. It's grown like crazy the past 15 years.

As far as picking a sport. In middle school as long as seasons don't overlap play as many sports as they can. In high school they can pick.

I've seen kids get blasted in lacrosse, but bc the kids that play aren't as big people feel it's safer.

It's a fun fast sport.
