To clarify, I bought a Chromecast Saturday and got it all set up to watch the games. I was streaming from my iPhone, and I was able to close out the WatchESPN app and still stream with no issues. It surprised me, because I figured my battery would drain quickly.

I have one of the older models of Roku. My daughter set it up for me and I have watched every game since Direct TV reached an agreement. With most devices you still have to have a provider and you must give them your ID and password. For some reason, I have to reset during games because it tries to reload and just pauses. It only takes a few seconds to reboot but it is still a little annoying.

This is true, but I didn't know if it was for others haha..

Check this, I was casting from my sister's iphone to our chromecast.. Well she left to go to the store with her phone.. and the cast never once stopped. LOL.. maybe it just needs to first be initiated.. then nothing else matters.. Pretty wild stuff..
