I'm leaning towards getting the Roku. You ever have any playback issues - buffering - or anything like that? How long have you had your Roku?

I would personally recommend the roku or fire tv stick.. because you have the option to use the provided remote to control it, or you can still use a device to control it. The roku stick is what I have an I really love it. There is a free app you can get that is an actual remote too. The roku has a ton of free channels and even private channels you can add online. The chromecast has to have a device to initiate it, and then this may not be good say if your devices battery is run down and you can't charge it.. etc..

The firestick is nice because it is a little cheaper and it's newer with probably better processing (not that this is even needed)

You won't have playback issues as long as your wifi is good. There is a more expensive roku that allows you to plug in an ethernet cord, but the stick is great enough.

Also,
If you have movies or videos on your computers hard drive and like to watch them to your tv you can get the channel/app PLEX on your roku or firestick and stream your entire movie collection wireless in fantastic HD.. all without any cords.. Plex has a tremendous interface too. I can't state enough how freaking awesome this is.

Any ways, I hope you are able to get one. You will absolutely love it, as long as your wifi is good.

Fire TV stick
Only $40

Roku Streaming Stick
$49 or $39 Refurb

I don't think you can go wrong with either!

Few years. It's the first one that came with Angry Birds.
