I don't know how true it is, but if you think about it, only shooting 20 free throws is not that surprising when you limit to last 10 seconds of a game, when officials shallow their stuff whistles and they must be either tied or losing by one. So if they are down by 2 or more or up by 1 or more, then a free throw isn't within the criteria of this statistic.

It is just a rare and specific situation.

Plus it doesn't help that LeBron has shied away from attacking the rim at times at the end of games to either take a jumper or kick it to open man. Usually when he drives at the end of games it seems to be to set someone up for an open jumper.
