re: Kayak safety

Flipping is more prevalent among inexperienced kayakers, but it can happen to anyone. Had a very skilled buddy flip going out of Belle Pass, when hit by a rogue wake. Got hung up in braided line from his poles too. Easily could have drowned.

I'm guessing these two guys, 23 and 21, probably had little experience, but still a silly thing to do. Also points out the difficulty of attempting to rescue someone drowning. They are so panicked that they will drown you too.
