Seems as if the Pastor (Crosby) handled this unfortunate situation correctly:
1) Cut ties
2) Make no excuses
3) Cooperate with authorities
Your thoughts, OT?

I mean what else would he do when it comes out his youth minister was trying to bang a 14 year old.

A baptist youth pastor? No surprise here.

At least he's heterosexual.

Yeah, let's just judge all Baptists, right?

Baptists are icky and weird. Real talk, growing up I thought only black people were baptists

Because there weren't/still aren't priest jokes assuming all priests touch kids.

They love to talk about their feelings more than the other denominations, outside of the Pentecostal ones, I feel.
That's weird.

Catholics v. Baptists THUNDERDOME
Posted on 2/28/15 at 9:10 am to Tornado Alley
Well I grew up in NO and didn't know any white people that weren't catholic and a couple of the black kids at my catholic elementary school were baptists so I just assumed only black folks were baptists and all white people were catholic.
It came as a shock to me that most white people in the US probably aren't catholic

I grew up on the Mississippi Coast and I remember the culture shock outsiders from the northern parts of the state would experience when they discovered that 70% of Hancock and Harrison Counties are catholic
Posted on 2/28/15 at 9:14 am to ALT F4
Hancock County
46.2% of Hancock County affiliates with a religion
63% of the affiliated population is Catholic
Harrison County
50.8% of Harrison County affiliates with a religion
33% of the affiliated population is Catholic - 36% of the same population affiliates with the Southern Baptist Convention (because of the redneck population in the northern part of the County)

I do give Crosby and the Church credit.
They knew. there would be bad publicity. But, at least according to the article, they called the police immediately and didn't exacerbate the situation.
So many other organizations (***cough***CatholicChurch***cough) would have tried to sweep it under the rug and try to avoid the negative publicity and PROBABLE lawsuit.

Thanks for pointing out how ignorant you were/are. It completely invalidates any dumb arse opinion you have.
