Just to make sure you guys understand how this works, but Caity Lotz is an actress that is still alive. Sara Lance was a character on a TV show played by Caity Lotz that was killed. That should not preclude the actress Caity Lotz from appearing in a different TV show as a different character.

Emily Bitt Rickards gets my vote for luckiest minor casting choice made in years. She was hired for one or two episodes of Arrow but they liked her on set so much they kept bringing her back and she's now the second lead of the show. Not to mention she's helped kick start interest in two spinoffs!

She's like the Anti-Summer Glau when it comes to show success.

except its set in the same universe. thats like if Stephen Amell just randomly showed up as Booster Gold in this show yet he still plays Arrow.

This new show is part of the same universe as Arrow. And I'm assuming will have character crossovers on all three shows. So yeah, she could play a new character. But it would look kind of weird having her possibly interacting with characters that she interacted with as Sara.
