PT is still good on 3rd downs getting tough yardage and is still money on screens.....However one thing that we did miss this past season with no Sproles in the rotation is a quick twitch runner and receiver out of the backfield......They tried to make Cadet into that player, and he didn't do terrible, but he did show why he was not drafted......That position/role definitely needs to be upgraded, the only questions are how much money would Reggie come back for, and is there another FA that might be cheaper, or is there a rookie(s) that we are targeting that could fill that role for cheap for the next 4 years?

I agree, even if it is just for depth. I love PT out of the backfield, but he just hasn't been able to stay healthy for us. We need someone who can come in when he's knocked out, but also brings a different type of passing game threat.

Robinson and Ingram have the exact same role, but Robinson essentially costs us nothing with the 52 man cap rules. I love the way Ingram has run the last 2.5 years, but I just don't think it is the right move to re-sign him for what I think he'll demand at well over $3 million/year.

I think we can add Reggie + draft a guy late and come out well ahead against the cap while having a more dynamic attack.

That's really what it comes down to. While I agree that he's got some stuff left in the tank, he is getting old, and he's got a history with being unhealthy. So, making big moves to bring him back? No. Getting him back on the cheap and seeing where it goes? Bout dat action boss.
