I think its lazy for fans and media (as im watching the news right now) to link him back to us. His ego isn't going to let him take less money to come back here. Not to mention he has once again proved to be unreliable with his health.

Antone Smith is 6months younger, and only has 46 career touches in the NFL. He's an under the radar type with big play ability in both the passing and running game, that we can probably get for pretty cheap, because he doesn't have much bargaining power. I know Atlanta wants him back, but maybe a little bit more money may sway him.

His ego? He just got cut...again. I don't think the whole league is going to be knocking his door down. To me I'd rather go back to the Saints for less than take a bigger payday in Oakland or Jacksonville or a place like that where they'd open up the checkbook

This. I think his experience here was positive for the most part but I also think he probably felt like he wasn't used enough (or in the right way) and I also think he's a sensitive dude and was often grumpy about the way fans reacted to poor performances (something I happen to think was unfair).

I agree 100%. Saints fans are nostalgic for some reason. Dude was pretty mediocre in this offense and routinely got outplayed by street free agents. He was a decent niche player at best.

Yeah Id like that signing. kind of reminds me of the michael turner situation, just he is a smaller guy. I think he can be a weapon in the right situation.
