How does the OP know she wasn't recording the professor and wanted his notes to help clarify some parts that didn't get picked up by recorder? Like closed captioning?
I used to record some classes.

How does the OP know she's not a Secret Agent from Russia who was recording the professor and every word spoken in the class and only needed his detailed notes to perfect a plan for Communist Takeover of our excellent educational system here at LSU?
Have you thought of THAT possibility? Of course not.
