I've always thought Norfolk/Virginia Beach could support either a MLB, NFL or NBA team ever since I lived there. It's a much bigger metro area than people realize, and it's also 60 miles from Richmond (although I-64 traffic makes that trip a nightmare). There is a lot of land off of the Chesapeake Expressway that could eventually be a stadium home, or the Norfolk Tides AAA stadium could be used for baseball. There is a strong military presence in the area and there is a lot of money in the area, meaning the population isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The only problem with this is the proximity to DC, but Baltimore is closer and it supports two teams just fine.

Too close to D.C. IMO.........
