Do you honestly think, with the amount of holes we have, that we need to be picking a noodle arm QB from a gimmick offense to be a backup in the 2nd-3rd round? WE have a 2-3 window left with Brees and need to do everything in our power to take advantage of it. Spending a high draft pick on a puppy pet side project does zero to help us.

Good to know you have no clue what you're talking about. Mike Mayock compares his arm to Jeff George, says it's an arm you have to see live to truly appreciate.

Also, the Pats have a better QB at the same age and addressed it in the 2nd round last year. Would you rather be the Packers after Favre or the Broncos after Elway.

If you don't have a QB in this league you're irrelevant. I don't want to be that again.

Probably because they had less holes to fill.

Agree with this so much. I understand people not wanting to spend a pick on QB while Brees is here, but I damn sure don't want to be playing the QB derby for 5-10 years after Brees retires.

I see your point but please don't compare Bryce Petty to Aaron Rodgers. Plus what you're saying to do is more fitted for a draft in the coming years.

Also Garrappolo (sp) >>> Petty, as a prospect.

When the QB prospect you're arguing for isn't that good and will most likely never be a top 12 starting QB in the league, yes.

There's not a single QB outside of Jameis in this class that is worth the Saints picking to groom for the "future".
