I'm trying to do a co-op as soon as possible. I think actually making some money and seeing what I could potentially make will help.

Exactly, all my Engineering buddies I was jealous of because they were always flush with money from co-oping. Best situation for a college student, get paid like a salaried employee for half the year and blow it all when you're in school.
