It's the longest throws consistently. You're never trying to throw a guy out at 1st, but are at 3rd and home. RF needs to have a strong arm. If Laird is the 2nd best fielder, don't more balls go there? Seems like it'd be a perfect fit to me.
ETA: Our arms have somewhat hurt us. Didn't we get all of 2 assists from the outfielders last season? That's pretty bad. Foster is not a bad fielder at all and I'm sure hitting was the reason he wasn't seeing the field last year.
