It didn't kill the episode for me or anything. It just wasn't necessary and adds nothing to the show. That's why it felt forced.

Not sure if they'll pass over it quickly but I think the "turn over your weapons" would really be a sticky situation.

On the one hand, if you're Rick's crew, if you give up your weapons your pretty much screwed. If the people in the community are bad guys you pretty much gave up your chance to defend yourself. Even if they are good guys and they find you fail the audition, things could go very badly for you.

On the other hand, if you're the community, if you let this armed group into your community you are inviting very bad things to happen to your people if things go bad. Even if they were pretty comfortable in Aaron's judgment (even though it didn't stop him from getting punched in the face), what would happen if you decide they fail the audition? Again, could get very bad.

They should have a set up where they interview people "outside" the compound. Hey, come to think if it maybe this is a separate part of the compound that they can isolate. Would explain why it looks like there are no people around.

Neither have all of the Maggie/Glen sex scenes that they've had. Or the Rosita/Abe sex scene.
