My Dad is going to attempt to build one this spring.

It's going to be a disaster

Been heavily researching this. Found a guy in houston that does them, but I'm worried if I sell my house I'll just have to fill it in

You don't need that.

They look great and I would want one. My biggest fear would be that they would become a mosquito nesting ground.

What about algae. I feel like 3 years in this thing is getting filthy without serious upkeep.

no thank you

I know traditional pools have snake issues... But I be damned if I'm going to give them hiding places and breeding grounds.

Is it impossible to put a trampoline like that in a normal pool? I don't get the reason for pointing out that the natural pool has a trampoline instead of a diving board.

Looks pretty cool. Just call it a pond without any fish in it. I would be worried about snakes, like others have mentioned.

I built a pond in my back yard a few years ago and its a little creepy sticking your hand in the middle of water hyacinth not knowing whats beneath the surface. Ive only found one snake skin on my rocks.

Mosquitoes can be controlled with fish and plants. The things this is going to attract is lizards, frogs, and birds. And maybe some coons

The cottonmouths in your neighborhood will love it.

Huh?

I do very little to maintain mine (30k gallon salt water pool/spa--gunite). The Aquapure system makes it fool proof. I check it once a week.

Looks like something a hippie with money would buy/build.
