Not so subtle brag but I am a physician and routinely take care of patients with varying degrees of shoulder injuries and have myself suffered a shoulder injury which I still have occasional issues with today (granted I'm not an elite athlete). Returning too soon can certainly increase the severity of the injury with continued use instead of rest as we've seen in AD's case.

Like you said, not an elite athlete. Also, not everyone heals the same. So, while you might not be ready to do what you do, same cant be said for him.

Hollinger has us sitting at 12.9% to make the playoffs. If the Pels make it they would face Golden State. My contention is that if AD's re-injury was severe enough (3-4 weeks+) maybe they shut him down through the season to minimize risk of re-injury in meaningless games. Yeah I know experience goes a long way but is it worth an offseason shoulder arthroscopy or rotator cuff repair?

Really don't care who we play. A playoff birth would go along way to instilling confidence in not only the team but the fans that we are in the right direction.

I'm a big Pels fan and sat 3 rows up and across from David Stern at their inaugural game in 2002 when I still lived in NOLA. I posted the topic to see what fans who may be more plugged in than me thought about it should AD's injury cause him to miss significant time.
