If Jones can consistently recruit to that level, and Alleva and the fan base can live with that, then JJ's the right guy. I don't think he can consistently recruit to that level.

I actually think he came along at the right time for recruiting here and made the wise move of getting Patrick at the most opportune time, much like his mentor used to hire the big-time recruits high school coach.

Jordon Mickey's brother played football at LSU helped and that was a fortunate circumstance in our favor and Martin along with the kid that went to Vandy were the best two recruits in B.R. in 5 years or more.

And in the coming years U-High has 2-3 solid D-1 prospects and Johnny's son plays their along with Wayne Sims' son. For me that sets up quite nicely for future recruiting.

Of course some of the guys we brought in that some expected maybe a bit more from like Odo, Elbert and Malon...everyone has those, but it would be nice if they were not all at the same position. Hopefully Elbert can improve his movement and contribute in the future per his relatively high ranking.

All that means is IMHO talent won't be the issue in the coming few years. CJJ maybe is still learning to be a head coach at this level, at least I hope he's learning and improving.

For me it's still discipline and accountability that are the areas he needs to make the most strides in. But pulling for him and my Tigers.

I believe we are winning now with mainly the talent on the floor. JJ will occasionally make a good X/O decision, but by and large, he flounders around on the sideline looking lost and sitting on timeouts.

If/when he starts missing on recruiting talent....in other words, a bad year or two where he brings in marginal players, I think we see an ugly losing season.

Like with Miles, I dont see this situation magically improving anytime soon.
