It should be more whiskey flavored with a hint of red tint, IMO

I had one like this at Superior Steakhouse in S'Port. It wasn't bad but I'd need to be in the mood for it.

Sugar is a common ingredient in old fashioneds..

If you want it whiskey flavored just ask for whiskey on the rocks with bitters and a splash of cherry juice.

Yes, it should. .. How most bartender's murder good whiskey with waayyy too much cherry juice when making an old fashioned is a sin. And putting in rock candy?!?!? What is that shite?!?!? She would've been making me another, correctly, or let me do it. ... God, I hate when establishments these days alter & add their own ridiculous crap to drink recipes that have been in existence for decades. Stop fricking up,the drinks!!!
